Objective of the Event: To evaluate the performance of 5 varieties of Maniphou on location specific potential yield, productivity and various growth promoting characteristics.

About the Event:  Field Day on performance of Maniphou varieties was organized at WRC potential area, South Vanlaiphai. The programme was attended by 10 nos. of progressive Maniphou rice growers. After the Field Day programme, farmers cum scientists interactions and feed back were recorded. Among the 5 varieties, maniphou-12 is short duration of 90-105 days. It is at harvesting stage. There is a big opportunity for advancement of rabi season vegetable cultivation.
